It’s so strange that Mayes’ book had nothing to do with the romance that provides the theme for this trailer. At the end of her book, in fact, she explained that the movie would take on an entirely new life compared to her own experiences. That certainly seems to be the case. While I may choose to do without the movie version, reading her story was definitely uplifting. It’s a good reminder that we should all take a few risks now and then.
